Bio

From as far back as I can remember I've been fascinated with cameras and their power in documenting the histories of life.  I was eight years old when I was given my first camera and told I could do whatever I wanted with it.  It was a Kodak instamatic and I promptly took it apart in an effort to see how it worked mechanically.  I did the same thing with film - tearing apart a multitude of different types of film to see how the emulsions differed from one another.

After many experiments with films and the destruction of several cameras, by the time I was 12  I had learned that neither instamatics nor polaroids were options for the quality of photos that I wanted to produce.  It was then that I worked hard at baby-sitting and picking berries to earn the money to buy my first 35mm
SLR.  By the time I got to high school I was so intrigued with the world of photography that I enrolled in evening college level photography classes.  I was in heaven learning and absorbing everything I could about photographic art.  I knew without a doubt that it was my life's mission to pursue this passion til my dying day!

As a young adult, I realized that the majority of my photographic interest was in music.  At the same time, computing technology was beginning to make things a lot more exciting in my life and I found myself nearly as consumed with computers as I was with cameras. The dual interest couldn't have been timed any better, as the later merging of digital photography and computers ended up being a natural transition for me when I finally decided to produce most of my photography work electronically.

It is now the year 2012.   My experiences in capturing and documenting indescribable moments in music history with photographs still continues to be the ultimate gift to my being.  Regardless of who or what I'm photographing, perfect or not, at the end of the day it truly is all good!
